Important Update Regarding Hospital Referrals/ Appointments
We understand how difficult waiting for hospital appointments and specialist referrals can be, especially when you're in pain or discomfort.
Please be aware that once we’ve sent your referral to the relevant hospital department, we are unable to request that your appointment be expedited. All patients are seen in order of clinical need, and hospital teams are working hard to see everyone as quickly and fairly as possible.
Please see recent response we have received from the MSK Team explaining this:
"Thank you for this request. Referral has been received and accepted.
Your patient will have some time to wait yet as there are previous referrals to be seen first. Unfortunately, all the patients waiting are in pain and/or disability and we cannot discriminate. But please be assured your patient will receive an appointment in due course.
